DFW Total Solar Eclipse Cities - April 8, 2024

North Texas Cities with Totality

A Total Solar Eclipse is set to pass through almost every city in the DFW Metroplex on April 8, 2024. The path of the eclipse will stretch from the western edge to the centerline of the city's sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, providing ample opportunities for both locals and tourists to witness the event.

The data on eclipses was provided by Fred Espenak of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, and can be found on eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov. It's worth noting that the timing and duration of eclipses can differ greatly, even within the same city, and some cities may only be partially within the path of totality. Therefore, the times and durations presented on this page are merely representative examples and should only be used for general comparison purposes. For an accurate determination of the exact start time, end time, and duration of totality for your specific location on the day of the eclipse, we recommend using the interactive Google eclipse maps developed by Xavier Jubier. http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2024_GoogleMapFull.html?Lat=31.28027&Lng=-99.63060&Zoom=3&LC=1
